Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Carpenter with a keen eye for detail and a specialization in structural framing. If you take pride in the strength and accuracy of your work, we want you on our team. This hands-on role involves constructing the critical bones of a building—from walls and floors to roof structures.
Key Responsibilities
Precision Framing: Execute all aspects of structural timber framing, including walls, floor systems, roof trusses, and sub-flooring, following blueprints accurately.
Measure & Cut: Skillfully measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials like timber and related products using hand and power tools.
Safety & Compliance: Work diligently and safely, adhering to all site and company safety procedures and wearing required PPE at all times.
Material Efficiency: Ensure efficient use of materials and minimal waste on site.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Foreman and other trades to ensure smooth transitions between framing and subsequent construction phases.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience (3+ years) as a skilled Carpenter, with a demonstrable portfolio or history of framing work.
Expert ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
Proficiency with all standard carpentry tools and equipment.
A strong commitment to safety practices and a proactive approach to hazard identification.
Excellent work ethic, reliable, and able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Formal apprenticeship completion or equivalent recognized carpentry qualification is preferred.
Physical health is paramount for this role, as you will often work in demanding environments.
