Job Description
We are seeking a Logistics Officer (International Procurement) to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services from both international and domestic suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for international and domestic suppliers, from requisition to delivery.
Source and evaluate new suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure smooth import/export operations.
Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Monitor shipment status and proactively address any delays or issues.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
Track procurement costs and identify opportunities for savings.
Ensure compliance with all relevant trade regulations and customs requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in international procurement and logistics.
Strong understanding of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance.
Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
Deep understanding of customs regulations, HS Codes, and duties/tariffs.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
